The only one of her non-crime books which I've read is Emotionally Weird and I absolutely hated it, I only finished it as it was a book group read but I thought it was awful - weird is the right word! 'The handsome investigator that Kate Atkinson introduced in 2004s Case Histories, played by Jason Isaacs on the BBC series, hasnt appeared in a new book since 2011. I do agree somewhat with bobblybear about her rambling style, I did find Case Histories a bit disjointed at first, but then the plot threads did all eventually come together but she can get a bit carried away I think.
